Sofia, 15th April 2020 - Evrotrust Technologies, the Bulgarian inventor of the technology and mobile app for remote e-identification, e-signature and immediate delivery of e-documents without an analogue in the world in terms of functionalities, will provide Bulgarian citizens and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with free-of-charge electronic signatures during the the national state of emergency until May 13.
In March, Evrotrust became part of the e-Government State Agency's initiative for support of local businesses and individuals during the national state of emergency, starting to provide free qualified electronic signatures (QES) which can be used to submit electronically any request for a service provided by government bodies and public institutions through the single portal www.egov.bg.
With the new initiative Evrotrust aims to upgrade these efforts and help consumers and companies adapt to the new environment that requires utmost mobilization concerning digitalization of the processes and services in order to prevent the disruption of business. In this way Evrotrust also expresses its solidarity with the efforts of the society to cope with the epidemic of coronavirus (COVID-19).
"Never have our services been in greater demand. We have never seen such an enormous number of requests for registration and integration of our application over such a short period of time. The demand for our services generated by individuals, companies and the government is extremely high which clearly indicates that the bulk of the businesses and state institutions as well as the active part of the society do their best to prevent the disruptions of their operations. Last month, we registered a 400% growth year-on-year in the number of registrations and downloads of our mobile application and ten-fold increase in the number of e-signatures through our app. We invest a lot of efforts in order to meet the expectations and service all new applications”, prof. George Dimitrov, board member at Evrotrust, commented. “We are nicely surprised by the speed of the digitization process during the epidemic of coronavirus. The corona crisis boosted the digital transformation of the business, state institutions and relations between people and this is one of the few positive moments in this epidemic. This is a trend in all the sectors. At this moment we want to be empathetic with people. Therefore we decided to prolong the period in which we will provide individuals and small businesses, the most vulnerable representatives of our society in terms of covid-19, with free-of-charge e-signatures. We plan a similar initiative in the whole EU”, prof. George Dimitrov added.
Evrotrust is a Bulgaria-made technology and offers the fastest, easiest and most accessible solution globally for e-identification, e-signature and immediate delivery of e-documents, available straight through the smartphone. During the national state of emergency individuals can request electronically services provided by state institutions, including central and local administration, by signing their requests with the mobile qualified electronic signature (QES) of Evrotrust. This could be done through www.egov.bg, e-Government State Agency's single portal, as well as directly through the sites of the ministries, municipalities and other state institutions.
Evrotrust’s e-signature has the same legal value as the handwritten paper-based signature. The app is compliant with all requirements and standards for information security.
