The Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism goes digital thanks to Evrotrust!

All administrative services in the tourism industry will be just a click away. The Ministry of Tourism is the first governmental body to fully digitalize its services. They will be available 24/7 and will be accessible for free for a one-year period.

Starting Monday, you will no longer need to visit the Ministry of Tourism if you want to use their administrative services, as you will be able to operate online. Document registration requests will be submitted with e-signatures or through a facial recognition feature. Initially, you will have to sign up on the website of the Ministry, which only takes about a minute.

Then you should proceed to select the needed service. To get a personal e-signature, you have to download the application on your mobile device. Then the application has to scan your ID card and your face, so you are not required to provide any further personal data, as the input to your account is automatic.

The service will be available for free for a year; thereafter the annual subscription fee will be BGN 2. Annually the Ministry receives about 1500 applications in the aggregate for all services. More than half of them are expected to ditch paper and go electronic.

By the end of 2018 the system is expected to become accessible in all EU countries.
